Africa In The Picture Festival
Cognizance and Action
Africa in the Picture Festival is a festival for film and contemporary arts and literature from the African continent and its diaspora worldwide. Due to Covid-19 restrictions and difficulties we are all facing, we decided to postpone the 2020 and 2021 edition to September 2022.
Although a digital version of the festival would have been an option, we can’t imagine a festival without being able to see and exchange with our beautiful audiences and international guests. The power of AITP has always been to bring people together in collaborations and exchange, for Q&A’s and informative sessions, talkshows and performances. We hope 2022 will bring us clarity about our possibilities, so we can see you all around!
For the 2022 edition, our intention is to host an impressive selection of cinematoraphic curiosities, an art exhibition, a literary talk show, live music and art performances. We hope to present the projects of our first Document Yourself group, and we hope to facilitate our annual B2B Business meeting between African sustainable and cultural companies with startups from the African diaspora in Europe, BIPFAS.
We’re building strong partnerships with different venues in the Netherlands as well as in the rest of Europe, with whom we are programming small events, lectures and screenings of all sorts. Keep an eye on our social media channels and agenda, and subscribe to our Newsletter below to keep up to date.
