Africa in the Picture Festival is a festival for film and contemporary arts and literature from the African continent and its diaspora worldwide. Due to Covid-19 restrictions and difficulties between 2020 and 2022 we decided to postpone the festival and reformulate and redisgn the festival. We noticed that the festival domain has permanently changed, and new ways of celebrating arts and culture emerged.  Online access to programms turned out to be a must, and programming throughout the year is essential for a continuous presence in the field.

Although a digital version of the festival would have been an option, we couldn’t imagine a festival without being able to see and exchange with our beautiful audiences and international guests. The power of AITP has always been to bring people together in collaborations and exchange, for Q&A’s and informative sessions, talkshows and performances. Although we are slightly changeing our scope, we hope we will be back with something impressive in 2023. Stay tuned, registre for the mailing list to receive the updates.
